Hell

The fire that burned so bright awoke me from my slumber. The flames burned through the basement alighting all the bodies that had too been drugged and pulled into this once dark and dingy room now becoming the fiery depths of hell that had been described to us in vivid detail through out our miserable life's. Now it was real. Our hell.

My series

Would you continue to read this? This is the opening paragraph of a series I'm writing and I'm wondering if it would be read if I tried to get it published.

She ran. She ran from the shadow that seemed to be always in front of her. No matter what. No matter what she did. Turning left and right. Trying to lose the shadow, but how can you lose the thing that you can't see? As she stumbled into a deserted graveyard the moon casted a reflection over the graves. She jumped. Missing a grave by an inch but then cut off by the shadow. Turning again and running in another direction to then fall in front of a grave. She stared at it. Not believing what she saw. The grave read 'RIP Sabastian Cedric Dallin son of Cedric Dallin Born 14th June 1856 Died 24th October 1874'. She screamed. "So you've found my grave."

Survivor writen by Abbie White

There stood a girl in the middle of the oncoming crowd. Surrounding her. Edging closer and closer. She didn’t move; her hands by her sides. An unexpected wind gushed around them. It didn’t stop the crowd, now they could be seen wielding swords, spears and trinkets. The girl was still perfectly still as her eyes glanced left and right as she took in her dangerous situation. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

“My name is Emiko and I’m a survivor” I whispered my eyes still closed. I didn’t move. I didn’t breathe. My muscles screaming at me to run. Get away from the approaching creatures. These were the things that wrecked my life snatching away everything I loved. “I can do this” I thought to myself then I was hit with the past.

 To be continued...

This should be getting published soon and when it does I'll post the rest of the story.

It's all a circle

Life. What is the meaning of life? The question has been scrutinized over and over for as long as mankind can remember but when it comes down to it there is no answer.

Many believe that the meaning of life is love. Friendship. Being successful. I don’t believe that. The meaning of life, in my eyes is simple. Life is a never-ending circle, going around and around as generations are born, grow, experience and then die as life wills it.

Many take on the yolo- you only live once- aspect of life. Looking at the world seeing everything it has to offer taking opportunity’s and experiencing  life  as it goes on. That is a good way of life to live but the very word is incorrect. Yolo is wrong as you don’t ‘only live once’ in fact you live every day, you only die once so in theory yodo should be the correct term.

I believe that life should be experienced to the fullest before you settle down in to a straight forward life of having a family, a career and a home. There are many things I want to do in life before I settle down and the first being able to travel the world. To be honest I’ve done a lot of traveling in the short time I’ve lived but I want to extend that. Broaden my horizons so to speak. That is how I feel life should go.

What do you think? What is the meaning of life to you?
Comment below I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Packaging

Why does the smallest thing you could buy has to have the most complicated packaging known to man? Seriously when opening a packet I’m having to pull out scissors, screwdrivers, pliers and any other tool that could help me get under the stupid packaging.

Today I bought some new headphones they came in the most pathetic packaging I’ve ever seen. For a pair headphones it took me 20 minutes to get in to the headphones! I was using scissors, ripping it with my hands (cutting myself in the meantime) still it wouldn’t open. I had to get the scissors under the sealed tight packaging connecting the two cylinder bits.

Cutting a long stressful story short I did in the end get into the packaging and this is the end result:
