My first reaction to this news was: NO NO NO!!
I can not describe to you all how much I love the lion king. I watched it every single day without fail until the age of 5 (roughly when I started school). I'm serious every day. Anytime there was an important family event or something big happened I was watching the lion king. Every. Single. Day.
The lion king is an absolutely amazing movie- the animation, the songs, the plot. Why would anyone in their right mind want to remake it?
The amount of Disney films that are being remade to real life or with better CGI is remarkable. Beauty and the beast is the next one which I am actually quite looking forward to since I loved the animated version too (not as much as the lion king) but I feel beauty and the beast can be remade. It makes average sense. The lion king? No it really doesn't. How are they going to make it? With CGI? Or with like real lions? It's just not going to work it would be like remaking aladdin without Robin Williams as the genie. Who would want to do that?
To say I am annoyed by this is an understatement. What do you all think about this? What do you think they will do with the lion king- a new plot, new songs or just better animation?
P.S. I will still go and watch it.

The lion king remake

Books glorious books
I have read some amazing books since I could read but recently I keep finding ones that I've never heard of before and I can't believe I haven't read them yet! The most recent one is everything, everything by Nicola Yoon and it is about a girl that is allergic to the world. You could say to some extent this is a romance book but it is so much more than that. It's about family, entrapment, and betrayal. A must read to all!
Another book I found not too long ago is called our endless numbered days by Claire Fuller and that is so many things that it's hard to describe! It's a brilliant read and keeps you guessing the whole way through. It is a little confusing at times as the narrator is a child but it is brilliantly written.
This next one is a kindle book which is called love to hate you by Anna Premoli. I don't usually like romance novels but this one I couldn't help but love. It was a great read for a holiday and had me laughing along with it!
There are so many books out there that I never really looked at because I stayed with the same authors and they can't be faulted but sometimes it's good to chose books you wouldn't normally pick which is why at the moment my bookcase is bursting with unread books.
Some of my favourite books are quite hard to come by so I thought I'd list some of them here so that you all can enjoy them as much as I did:
Love and decay by Rachel Higginson
Star crossed series by Rachel Higginson
Promises to keep by Shayne Parkinson
And then of course the hunger games series by Suzanne Collins, the Morganville vampires series by Rachel Caine, and the gone series by Michael Grant.
Comment down below your favourite books!

Dreams
The night was cold- freezing even and I was hanging on for dear life. The fingers wrapped tightly around the barrier dangling of the ship. I could hear the slow click of heels walking towards me. "Help," I yelled towards the approaching figure. She stood in a white elegant dress, long blond hair flowing behind her. Bright red nails tapped the barrier indecisively while I begged for help as I started to lose my grip. A wicked smile spread across her face as I lost my grip and plummeted towards the freezing cold ocean.
I woke up and looked at the time 2.20- it was the 15th of April 2012- a hundred years since the titanic sunk and I had had a dream of me hanging of the side of it with a scary woman deciding my fate. It was the most vivid dream I have had to date and still remember it clearly. I remember what she looked like, the shape of the ship, the time I woke up and the date.
I think dreams are the strangest thing that happen to any living thing and the fact that you can find out what they mean from a dream dictionary. Sometimes I get similar dreams so I do look up what they could mean. One common one for me is being pregnant which is all about the creation and development of life, so dreaming of being pregnant may be a metaphor for the birth of something in your life, such as a new idea, project or goal. It may also symbolize an aspect of yourself that is developing or growing. I have realised that I get these dreams when I've come up with a new writing idea.
One question I always wonder is why do we forget dreams? Well I did some research and found out why...
There are many reasons why we forget many of our dreams and one link summed up all the reasons- Scientific American http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-do-memories-of-vivid-dreams/ - states that we forget dreams because there is an absence of the hormone norepinephrine in the cerebral cortex, a brain region that plays a key role in memory, thought, language and consciousness. (Norepinephrine definition underlies the fight-or-flight response, along with epinephrine, directly increasing heart rate, triggering the release of glucose from energy stores, and increasing blood flow to skeletal muscle.) Due to this we forget the dreams we have if they did not capture our attention. There are many for reasons which is explained in Scientific American which you can see in the link above.
Even though I think dreams are bizarre I also think if you have a dream the day starts off better. What is your most vivid dream? Comment below

Harry Potter and the cursed child review (SPOILERS)
Even though I received the cursed child play script on the day of its release I couldn't read it for two weeks (went on holiday) as soon as I got back it was in my hand and ready to be read. I'm going to split this review in two as I have two very different opinions on each act. (WARNING spoilers!)
PART 1
I did like the first few scenes as we begin to learn about the characters but its not long before the play speeds up and we're shooting through the years quickly. By the end of the 7th scene I'm really not liking Albus or Harry that much due to a ridiculous fight between them that escalates from them arguing about Harry's blanket to shouting that they wish they weren't father and son. Maybe if you see it performed there would be more tension to it but from reading it there really isn't.
One thing that surprised me throughout the whole play is Scorpius; he is constantly referred to as Voldemort's son which is most likely very hurtful to him as it causes him to be an outcast -obviously- but he is the funniest thing in the play. Throughout the play I was constantly laughing out loud due to him.
The first act consist of Albus, Scorpius, and Delphi trying to find a way to save "the spare" Cedric Diggory which seems to be a foolish idea right from the start but still they do a good job of finding the time turner and that is the end of the first act from part one.
Act two from part 1 starts with a dream of Harry's which includes Voldemort. This leads to the parents trying to find Albus and Scorpius before they go back in time. They fail and scene 7 starts from this point onwards I start to get annoyed with act 2. They start to notice the changes that have been made but does this stop Albus wanting to go back? Of course not. Scorpius does try to stop him and they have a fight but that ends as soon as its started. The next few scenes are easily summed up by the huge mistake made by Albus and Scorpius leading to there being no Albus. Part one ends with what appears to be hell on earth.
Opinions so far: I didn't really like part one- I felt it was quite rushed in some bits that were quite important. This may have affected my feelings for it but I don't think affected the story as a whole. The last scene in part one was quite good which make sense as it makes the person come back for part two.
PART 2
Part two I liked a whole lot more than part one and I think that's because the pace of the play was easier to read and made more sense. One quote stood out for me "we simply are as we are" which seems to be the response of many "purebloods" in this new world. They seemed to get Snape exactly right which is a first, however he is quite funny especially when you have Alan Rickman voice in your head. We are then ushered into a underground rebellion group where Snape, Hermione, and Ron learn of their real lives. Their task then becomes protecting Cedric Diggory so that he doesn't become a death eater. They succeed and everything seems to go back to how it should be.
This is not the end as Delphi has other ideas who, we learn at the end of act 3, is in fact Voldemort's daughter. It was a twist I wasn't expecting. In act 4 we learn that Albus and Scorpius have been sent to 1981 the day before Harry's parents have been killed. From this point onwards the play becomes an amazing piece of literature. I won't ruin much more but we finally get to see the Harry we know and love. Fighting to save his family and the world. The play ends with father and son happy and united together. It's a good ending.
Opinions overall: I definitely preferred part 2 to part 1 partly because I felt like there was more going on and it was easier to imagine the scene unfolding. Part 1 was good but I just felt like it didn't match with all of the Harry Potter books we've grown with. Part 2 was a lot better than part 1- it seemed to be better written and had more action with it more like the original Harry Potter books. To conclude Harry Potter and the cursed child was a good read and will most likely be a brilliant play to go and see but the expectations I had for the play didn't match what was written. I'd give this 7/10 and would recommend it.
What were your views on the cursed child? Have you seen it performed? Comment below

The sacrifice
“Do you atone for your sins?” I asked in a simple manner.
“No! I didn’t do it,” the girl struggled in front of me trying to fight the bonds that trapped her. The physical bonds were not all that trapped her but the mental ones that she shared with our master.
“Please let me go,” she begged but she did not have a choice. She was given to me. Her sins were severe and she must pay the ultimate price. The knife rose high in the air- the blade shined in the light- and made the final cut; her blood spilled. The sacrifice complete.

The summer evil...
Can you believe that 1 in 5 people in the UK is affected by hay fever with the most common cause being grass pollen. While a quarter of suffers are affected by trees and only a few are triggered by weed pollen. (inserted below is a picture of the pollen calendar so if you suffer you can see what pollen is causing it). I am the unlucky one being affected by all!
From this as you can see when the chances are of being affected by pollen the most. For me I'm affected from March to October (the whole hay fever cycle) and then winter comes along with its own illnesses. If I am lucky though the weather can help.
We haven't had much of a summer which is bad as a whole but for people like me its had its perks. As the weather as been cooler the pollen levels haven't been as high, and as the hotter weather took longer to get here than usual for hay fever suffers we've had a bit of a longer break of being able to breathe (and wear eyeliner). Of course, as we're now in July the hay fever is at its highest and since some days are cooler and raining it clears the air of pollen but the next day it's back with a fresh assault. What doesn't help is people (ie. the council) choosing the hottest day to cut a field releasing all that 'lovely' pollen to those already suffering from the days assault but that deserves a whole rant to itself. I always find that when I am around people cutting their grass I feel worse what about you- comment below.
Mornings are always worse because pollen is released early in the morning. I've read so many different articles on how to reduce the affects of pollen and found these to be the best ones:
•Keep windows closed at night so pollen doesn't enter the house. (This is good because it stops the early morning pollen getting in your house and getting attached to you and your bed which later will be a problem when you go back to bed.)
•Buy a pair of wraparound sunglasses to stop pollen entering your eyes. (This is great because when you do have to be outside and walking by a field it protects your eyes a bit more as well as stopping you from rubbing your eyes in case you have pollen on your hands too.)
•Keep car windows shut when driving. (This works averagely well but I find since I live in quite a high pollen level area anyway that when I am leaving the area I can breathe better so having the windows closed don't make a lot of difference.)
•Don't mow the grass or do other work in the garden. (This I avoid anyway but if you do have to do work in your garden do it on a cloudy cooler day as pollen levels will be lower.)
•Avoid fields and large areas of grassland. (This sometimes can't be avoided and it is a nightmare when you have to walk through them but if you wear sunglasses then it averagely reduces the amount of pollen affecting you.)
There are other things to better protect yourself like tablets, eye drops, and nose sprays. The first two are brilliant at protecting you from the onslaught of pollen and nose sprays as well as Vaseline can work at reducing pollen in your nose but I found it didn't work for me because I sneezed so much but do try anything and everything!
Comment below any other ways to help get through the way for all hay fever suffers and do speak about your problems with it! I know people that don't understand it and think of it as just a cold: "oh it can't be that bad" but we as a group can say it is!

Cows
"Did you hear about Barbra?"
"Nooo," she turned interested.
"They led her to the door" the other nodded
"Are you serious?" she asked.
"Didn't produce enough milk, she let herself go after the fourth husband. Its not surprising," the other moved, reaching down to grab a snack.
"Who will be next do you think?" she asked, worried, looking around at the other cows in the room.
"Neither of us, we have our heads screwed on. No male will ruin our milk."

Lemonade
Ugh, look at them. Sitting there. Tearing my very soul apart with every sip. I was told it was my destiny to become apart of the ade group but I didn't want to. I wanted to be free to roll and slide anywhere I wanted to, but I couldn't. It would bring dishonour to my family, to the very roots I came from. I was part of a long respected line of ade makers. To be cut, squeezed and drank. Every lemon is cut but to be squeezed...

distraught
She was distraught; they had ruined her day. How would she manage now? The ink flowed off the page; the words mixed together. The months it took her to complete this work, wasted. They laughed; it was fun for them to watch someone's hard work drain away. For they had never tried in their life's; they never had to. Everything was handed to them. That was it. They had to pay.

Free thinking writing...
The scrumptious gravel runs beautiful sadness as life drained away staining the road with colours of red. The once scrumptious gravel turned to turned to horrific tarmac. The cause of life unknown the cause of death known, completion of life terminated as life poured to the grown. Sadness plagued the bones of all life knew for it to had life, family, feelings though it caused no pain to begin but caused too much pain to end but that's how it works, life, death, to live, emotion causes life to be beautifully sad.
If you enjoy writing but find it difficult to get started then try free writing. All you do is sit with a pen and paper and write anything and everything that comes into your head even if it doesn't make sense. Leave your mind to wonder but not think, sometimes something great comes from it and you have the start of your writing.
End of the world...

Friday 13th November...
I don't like sharing things like this or talking about them because I don't want to push my ideas or beliefs onto anybody. However I feel that this needs to be said a lot more than it already has been. Everyone needs to stop. They need to put down their weapons. They need to just think about what they are seriously doing. Everyone (EVERYONE for those in the back that think this whole terrorism acts are one sided) needs to think and see sense that unless they stop killing innocent people then there are going to be nobody left to continue humanity.
I understand that a ceasefire is not going to happen. The chances of it are next to none. The biggest threat I believe at this moment is ISIS. They are dreadful people that don't just attack other countries but they kill "their" own people. Nobody knows the real figure of how many they have killed. What needs to happen is ISIS needs to be stopped. UK, USA, Russia, China, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, Italy and so many other countries all need to come together to squash ISIS before anymore people are killed. I know that this means those involved will be killed therefore there is no end to the deaths but is it right for those people to have murdered and destroyed families. The people forced to flee their homes, their country, everything they know. Why do these people deserve to live?
We need to stop the killing of innocents. Friday night is a horrendous example as to why we need to stop the violence. Paris became under attack with terrorism killing 129 people. They didn't just kill them. They tortured them. Two best friends escaped the horror by hiding in a cellar where they could hear screams of victims but no gun fires. It was later found that they had slit open the victims stomachs. One of the women- Mrs Payne- said "we knew people were being tortured in the theatre because we heard people screaming, but they were not being shot and these were singular screams." These terrorists aren't even worthy of being called human. No-body is safe. We need to all stay united and stop these killers.
Many things are also circulating social media. Something's are not true. For example 18,000 people did not die in the earthquake in Japan. It has been confused with the 2011 earthquake were 18,000 people were killed or are still missing. Nobody died in this earthquake. There has also been no report of injury or damage from the earthquake. The hurricane in Mexico (Hurricane Patricia) happened in October. There is no knowledge of another one on the 13th November.
The attacks in Beirut, Lebanon did happen but it happened on Thursday 12th of November, they became forgotten and were not given media coverage after more than 40 people were killed and 250 injured in two suicide bomb attacks. There is little knowledge of this. This is another reason why I feel everyone should be united because even though people will say "not so many people died. France is meant to be safe. They opened their doors to refugees and now so many are dead. Innocent people." Well those 40 people in Lebanon were innocent. They didn't deserve to die. They deserve to be remembered and acknowledged by the world. Now I know some of you'll say "you can't remember everyone. Too many people die everyday" I know this. That is what the problem is. Too many people are dying and that needs to stop. We need to work together and stop the innocent killing.
Not only was there suicide bombings in Paris and Beirut but also in Baghdad. At a funeral of a pro-government Shia fighter in Baghdad, a ISIS terrorist blew himself up killing at least 18 people and wounding 41. When will the killing stop?
Comment below what you think. Do you agree with me? If not then what do you feel should happen?

Trapped
Trapped. One chance that’s all I had and I lost it. Now I had two options. Die and then she dies or be thrown into the depth of despair that they call prison and be stripped of my magic then she dies. Either way I lose. This is my fault. They warned me but I need it. I needed it. Desperately. I could feel it draining away with each second. The feel of lightness. I needed it. I needed it.
“Well well well what do we have here?” the man in black kicked the body on the floor. “Dead” another muttered. “That’s a shame. We could have used him.” “You still can” called a female voice “move” she muttered at one of the figures. “Now the price” she stated “hm, his life to be bought back in turn for another” “what do you mean” he stuttered knowing exactly what she meant. “A life for a life” she looked down at the boy “such a pretty boy too. What a fine specimen for the Königin.” “He’s a traitor?” she turned to stare into the figures eyes “traitor? Please he is no traitor. He’ll make an excellent sacrifice for our internal greatness.” “Internal greatness? Wait Königin?” the man asked confused then it clicked. “You’re one of them!” he screamed “garrison’s get her” “and to think we could be civil. I only asked for one life but I’ll take more. Last chance” the garrison’s moved slowly around her “no? Okay. Ersticken.” With that she and the boy disappeared. The garrison’s looked widely around trying to find them but soon they could not. All that was left was the gasping for breath then silence.
“Wake up” she commanded the boy “You’re no fun if you’re still asleep” and he started to stir. “Good” she commented, nearly fully awake he took in his surroundings. “Where am I?” he asked looking up at the beautiful woman. “You are partially safe and you have two options. One will make you safe. One will well… make you dead. Probably” “what are the options?” she smiled “Option 1- you stay here. Make the Königin happy and expand your knowledge of who we are. Option 2- you leave. Possibly get caught by those monkeys die or be stripped. Your choice.” “What’s the price?” he said thinking it over “ahh smart too” she smiled “your sister” “no.” He stated “nothing is worth that.” “Noble too. How… refreshing. We don’t want to kill her like many want to. We have a child here. Powerful and dying.” The boy just looked at her while she continued “we’ve been watching you both. You come from a long line of magical beings, some with access to their powers. Others didn’t even know they had them. It all started in the old ages. 2015. The first of our kind came from your bloodline.” She paused. “So what?” he muttered “your sister is dying. Without magic she will die. Yours is what is barely keeping her stable soon she’ll be thrown into an oblivion and she will not survive but with our
help we can stop that. Like I said your choice.” She finished “what will happen if I give her to you?” “Good question. She will be infused with the magic of the dying boy and he will die she will survive. A life for a life.” “You said that before?” he asked “yes and your debt has been paid.” “What will happen to her?” “She will be alive that’s all you should worry about.” The woman replied “which option?” she asked “I guess option 1 then.” “Perfect.”
A scream rang out. “You said she would be fine, that she would be alive. You didn’t say she would be in pain!” the boy cried “She is the living death. Everyone that dies goes through her. She is alive I told you that.” The boy looked on sobbing at the sight of her contorted body as she continued to scream. He could not do anything. He was trapped.

The popular girls
Run. Run away and don’t come back. No-body wants you here. You’re just a little freak.
I’ve been at this school for two weeks and you already feel threatened by me. You strut around like you own the place, like you are in your own kingdom and everyone should bow down to you as if you were a queen. Well guess what you’re not and will never be. You’ll grow up; forgetting that you tormented and tyrannized the people that supposedly worshiped you. You were the queen bee of the school, the social butterfly. I’ve seen your species everywhere and you’re all the same. The pretty, wealthy and manipulative bitch that lives through the pain she spreads. What kind of life must that be? To be that damaged that you have to pass on that pain to someone else so that you can be happy, if you could even call it that. Yes I’m different. Yes I have scars. Yes I keep to myself but that does not make me a freak. It makes me, me and if you have a problem with that then you know where you can go. You think sending a little note will scare me? Make me listen to you and collapse at your feet? No it doesn’t. I’m here until the end so deal with it. Do you think I care about your kingdom? Maybe I should. Maybe I’ll stop your little tyranny over the people of this school. Maybe I’ll rule your little kingdom and give freedom back. Give people the freedom to do what they like, sit where they like, wear what they like. Time is running out for you and people are tired of it. I’m tired of people like you so I’m not running. You are. I’ll give you a head start but once that’s run out you best be warned. I have nothing to lose but you do. You have everything to lose. Piece by piece I’ll take it all. So sweetheart, start running.

Imaginary friend
Hey what are you doing? Don't get rid of that, we have so many memories from that! No don't box it up. Hey stop! You're making me disappear. You're forgetting about me. Please stop. I don’t want to go. I know you need to grow up everyone does but that doesn't mean I have to go. Please... I don’t want to go to that place. I don’t have long left but you can change your mind. My time is running short. I understand now. Maybe I'll see you again? please don’t forget...
80 years later...
She closed her eyes and the image of an old friend came to mind. "Hello friend. Not long now."

The three little pigs
I am the last pig in the three little pigs story and this is what really happened.
One day my friends (Jim and Jay) and I were shopping for ways to better our houses. Jim found straw, Jay found wood and I found brick. Later that day we had all finished and retired for the night.
The next day a wolf came through our little town. He sauntered to Jim's house and demanded to be let in. "No chance" Jim called and the wolf ran at the house knocking it over and swallowed Jim whole.
The following day the wolf went to Jay's house. The same thing happened and he swallowed Jay whole. I knew the next day it would be my turn but I had a plan.
The following day the wolf demanded to be let in my house. "No chance" I called and then the wolf tried the way that proved successful before but instead bounced from my walls. He refused to give in and climbed my roof where he climbed down the chimney and at the bottom he looked at me and then down the barrel of my gun. I shot him and there he laid dead.

It may have been a second, half a second, but it changed everything
The man, his wrists bounded behind him and his ankles tied in many loops; laid on the floor in a foetal position after collapsing for what seemed like hours ago. “Where is she?” he yelled kicking the man on the floor with every word. Coughing and spluttering
he tried to speak that he did not know. He thought she would be here by now but he was wrong. However he could not state this. He could not stop his torture. Another kick to the stomach caused more shooting pain up his chest. “They’ll be nothing left of you by the time she gets here” he stated pulling a knife from his pocket. “No” the man whispered. Kicks hurt but they were temporary what would happen next would destroy him. “Bring it” he yelled at the two standing behind the man on the floor as he tried to stand. “This will hurt you more than anything else will” he whispered leaning down and striking his leg with the knife causing a cut across his thigh. He was then handed a bottle which he proceeded to pour onto the wound. The man screamed in agony. “I’ll ask you again. Where is she?” The man just shook his head the pain had dulled but was still there. “Hold him down” he spoke to the masked two “I’ll give you one more chance. Tell me or you’ll start losing body parts” “I don’t know” the man whispered petrified
on the knife that was centimetres from his cheek. “Fine” the man took the knife and slammed it down on to the floor, slicing his finger off. The man screamed and screamed and screamed. “Shut him up” the masked men picked him up and shoved a gag into his mouth.
“Now that is nothing to what will happen if you don’t tell me where she is hiding” “I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know” the man repeated crying behind the gag. “This is endless” he muttered “how can you not know where she is? You were with her this morning
so WHERE IS SHE?” the man screamed into the man’s face. His face contorted in pain as the man pulled the knife back blood dripping from it. The masked men dropped him on to the stone floor as his life began to drain away. “You can still be saved. Just takes one call” he suggested calmly. The bang of a door was heard “hm interesting” he stated pulling a gun and aiming it at the man dying
slowly on the floor. “You’re too late” he stated to the figure coming closer to him, he smiled wickedly and pulled the trigger consecutively shooting the man first in the leg, then arm then finally the chest. “NO!” she screamed and ran forward trying to block the last bullet but it entered his head before she even moved a step. Collapsing by him she held him in her arms as his eyes stared blankly up at her.
It may have been a second, half a second, but it changed everything.
Little Red
Down a long and narrow path through the dark and twisted forest stood a cottage. Surrounding the door to this cottage was ivy and black roses. Through the front window next to the door, a little old woman could be seen in her rocking chair. She stared at the blank TV screen as she swung back and forward, back and forward waiting. Waiting for the knock on the door that promised her freedom.
A young girl sauntered into the dark and twisted forest following what she had been taught to do. The name of who she was visiting was tied to the woven basket she held in her hand with a death grip so not to drop the bottle of wine or cake. The girl was known as little red. She got her name from the cloak she wore which was the colour of blood; her face never seen due to the hood that shielded her from the world.
A snap of a branch alerted the huge beast to it's next meal. The girl continued along her way dodging the cracks and missing pieces of the path when the beast leapt in front of her with his teeth baring. "Lunch" he growled stepping closer to the girl yet she did not even flinch. Instead she pulled down her hood and stared into the beast cold black eyes. Fear rose in them as he realized who it was, turning he fled from the path. The girl put her hood back up and continued along the path.
After the long walk little red reached the cottage with the ivy and black roses surrounding the door. Little red knocked on the door and the quiet voice called out "little red please come in". Opening the door she saw the little old woman sitting in the rocking chair waiting patiently. Little red walked to the tiny table that stood next to the chair and placed the basket on it. Taking out the wine she poured it into a glass and handed it to the woman. "Thank you my dear" the woman whispered and downed the wine. Little red then handed the woman the cake. Little red then took down her hood and declared "you're free". The woman looked up at the ceiling and shut her eyes. Forever at peace.
Carrying her basket which held the empty bottle the girl strolled back through the forest when the beast again leapt in front of her. The beast stepped forward into the light and was seen for the first time not a beast but a wolf. "You will be my last meal because then I will be free." The girl only sighed in response, pulled down her hood and stared again into the wolfs eyes "you're free". His eyes slowly lost the light in them and the wolf collapsed on the path in front of her. Little red stepped around the corpse of the wolf after all her job wasn't over. She was the angel of death.

A few months ago I decided to do something for charity, to give back. What I decided was to cut my hair short seeing as it was long enough to be donated to make a wig. I decided to donate my hair to the 'little princess trust' who make wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer or other illnesses. It costs roughly £350-£400 to make a wig so I also set up a donate page so that I could raise money for them as well.
My target was £150 which was raised within the first month of putting up the post. I soon watched the amount rise to what stands at roughly £800. Last Wednesday was the day booked for the cut, roughly 10 inches was cut from my hair and will now be posted to them along with the cheque. Money is still being collected so I don't know exactly how much I have raised however I will post how much has been raised for this good cause.
Update: On the 16th of September I counted up all the money that had been collected and the amount was £854. An amazing amount for this charity who make wigs free of charge for children who have lost their own.
